Perfect for live processing of rhythm loops and tracks. ![]() ![]() +phasemash combines a number of simple phase manipulation techniques to give you pitchless sounds, inharmonic frequency shifting, resonant robotic sounds, ambient washes, harmonic scrambling or any combination of these. Loops can come from soundfiles, or be sampled live, and can be played and modified under MIDI control.ĭestructive pvoc phase processing. +pvocloop combines the time stretching and pitch shifting algorithms of +spiralstretch and +pitchsift into a four-voice looper. +spiralstretch uses your choice of pvoc or granular time stretch engines, and stretch times from 1x to 100x. The result creates beautiful, layered ambiances which sound like a cross between time stretching, reverb and tape delay. Also included is a unique vocoder which locks any live harmonic to the closest MIDI harmonic.Ī live input time stretch which works by dividing the input into multiple simultaneous time stretchers. Pitch can be controlled in equal temperament by cents or by just tempered ratios. This allows a wide range of sounds from clean pitch shifts to overly smeared harmonics to chaotic warbling. +pitchsift offers both FFT and sinebank pitch shift engines with control over harmonic tracking and reproduction. Essential tools for adventurous musicians and sound designers.Ĭlassic pvoc pitch shifting and MIDI vocoder. Pitch shifting, harmonizing, time stretching, layered loops, phase mangling, ambient clouds, resonant stuttering and more. Drag them to the other window, delete the from the itunes playlist, and so on.Time, Pitch & Phase: Stretching, Shifting & SmearingĪ Four-Plugin Bundle exploring the classic Phase Vocoder and Granular Synthesis algorithms. Drag SD2 files to the iTunes window (You should have the copy-files-on-import option disabled in prefs), Select Convert-to-wav from the File menu, and very quickly the converted wav-files shows up in the itunes library folder in Finder. Two Finder windows open, one with the SD2 files and one that shows HD/Usr/Library/AppSupp/iTunes/Music, and iTunes showing an empty playlist. Then, thanks to a tip by a fellow on applesupportcommunities (which I never liked because of alot of people giving the impression of helping, when they're just copy/pasting stuff and not really helping), I found my answer: I was looking at batch converter for this job, but it's not loading the. ![]() Quicktime can open the SD2s, but you can only save them as. As such, I have to go into my old Leopard Mac install on my ancient Mac Pro and open those files to convert them in Digital Performer 6. I searched, and tried Logic and Audition whithout success. But I did not manage to find a mac app that does this. Had I been on Windows, there's a small app by JohnRailRogut called SD2wav or similar that does the job. But the bounced finished tracks in SD2 format is not so easy, I found. The session files are ok, I have PT10 so I can open them up and convert the audio files folder to wavs. I have a couple of hundred CDs from up to twenty years back and older, containing lots of PT session files and bounced SD2 files. So I thought I'd post it in case someone else found themselves in a situation similar to mine. I know this has been covered many times before, but I'm in the middle of transferring lots of old files from CD-r to HD, and I found that I had to research quite alot to find a useful solution to my situation. ![]()
